Begin december bouwde ik mijn atelier om tot kerstwerkplaats. Als een heuse kerstelf stond ik met luide kerstmuziek op kaarten af te drukken, te rillen, vouwen en feestelijk in te pakken. Een lintje hier, een handgeschreven bedankkaartje daar.

Zes nieuwe aquarellen stonden tien dagen lang te fonkelen in mijn online kerstkraam. Ik had een voorzichtige stapel Velvet Fine Art papier en enveloppen ingekocht. Waardoor ik uiteraard in alle haast halverwege alles moest verdubbelen.. 🙃

Ik wil iedereen bedanken voor het enthousiasme, het vertrouwen in mijn werk en voor het bestellen van zoveel kerstgroeten. Dankzij jullie staan er nu in een paar dagen tijd zo’n 180 kaarten in huiskamers door heel Nederland. Dat voelt als een warm succes, en daar ben ik heel dankbaar voor! 💌

Het laatste restje kaarten gebruikte ik natuurlijk voor de mensen om mij heen. De mensen die ik al jaren kerstkaarten stuur, en me aanmoedigden om ze breder te delen.

En nu is de kerstkraam alweer gesloten! Ik werk de rest van december hier en daar door aan mijn schilderopdrachten. Daar laat ik af en toe wat van zien op social media. Ook blijft de webshop open, maar zal de levertijd iets langer zijn.

Het is voor mij tijd om van kerstelf weer om te toveren in een spinnende huiskat die vooral graag onder de kerstboom ligt.

Afgelopen nacht zag ik een vleugje Noorderlicht boven Den Haag. Een klein beetje kerstmagie dat perfect past bij wat ik vandaag lanceer.

🎄 Bestel nu je kerstkaarten (t/m 18 december) en stuur een beetje kerstliefde per post!

De kaarten worden professioneel gedrukt op stevig, hoogwaardig (aquarel)papier. Op de achterkant staan mijn website en social handle subtiel vermeld. Een (eigen) tekst aan de binnenkant is zeker mogelijk.

Perfect om vrienden, familie of buren op een simpele en warme manier te laten weten dat je aan ze denkt.

I’m thrilled to announce that my webshop officially opens tomorrow morning! After weeks of planning, creating, and coding, I can finally share my art with you in a space where you can order my fine art prints directly.

On the webshop, you’ll find a variety of art cards and posters based on my original paintings, both oil and watercolor. From folded greeting cards to limited edition posters up to A3 size, each piece is carefully printed on high-quality paper such as Velvet Fine Art and Tintoretto Gesso.

Yesterday I showed a few of my paintings at the écrassée Network Day at the Parool Theater in Amsterdam. ✨

For the event, I created a new piece titled That sounds like tomorrow’s problem! — a playful nod to the balance between strength and rest. 🍸

The artwork is 30x40 cm, oil on cotton canvas, with text added digitally.

What a lovely fall day it was last Sunday! 🍂 I was so excited to share my paintings with you all in person at the Home Made Market. The sun was out, the atmosphere was wonderful, and I truly enjoyed meeting so many kind people.

I sold lots of cards (thank you!) — and even one original painting. It was great to make a few new connections for future commissions.

What touched me most was seeing how many people stopped to look. Hardly anyone just walked by without taking a moment. That really means a lot.

Just finished this moody 50 x 70 cm canvas, inspired by the dunes in The Hague. Typical Dutch clouds hover over Zuiderstrand — the beach near my house where I love to walk. 🌥️

🌿 Did you know? Between 2011 and 2013, the Westduinpark was returned to its natural state — with drifting dunes, native plants, and even Scottish Highland cattle helping out to restore the natural landscape. 🐂
